sweaters for penguins

My friend Amy found this and forwarded it to me. Thanks Amy!!! This is the coolest "service" project. LDS women in Australia and New Zealand organized a sweater knitting project for endangered penguins whose feathers were damaged in an oil spill. 1,800 were created for the foot high birds to prevent them from preening and ingesting oil as well as to keep them warm while their bodies recovered.
